Of all the hotels on the Galápagos Islands, the Finch Bay Galapagos Hotel stands out as the clear #1 choice. While it was unfortunately out of my budget during my own stay, I had the opportunity to visit the hotel’s restaurant and explore the grounds and was thoroughly impressed by what I saw.
One of the hotel’s standout features is undoubtedly its prime location in the heart of Puerto Ayora, the main town on Santa Cruz Island. Despite being centrally located, the hotel is situated in a quiet, secluded area, providing guests with a peaceful and serene atmosphere. The hotel also boasts its own private beach, as well as a variety of other amenities such as a pool, spa, and fitness center.
But what really sets the Finch Bay Galapagos Hotel apart is its exceptional level of service and attention to detail. From the moment you arrive, the staff go out of their way to ensure that every aspect of your stay is perfect, from the quality of the accommodations to the meals at the on-site restaurant.

#3 Hotel Albemarle (Isabella Island)
Taking the #3 spot on my list of the best hotels on the Galápagos Islands (and my #1 pick in Puerto Villamil) is Hotel Albemarle, where I had the pleasure of staying during my own visit. One of the highlights of my stay was the breathtaking view of the beach, which made for a truly memorable experience.
